Currently, if you run Office 365, You NEED THIS!  Microsoft has a very limited and very short-term backup of your email etc.  It’s so limited that Microsoft themselves recommends that you get a third-party backup solution.   As we have all seen remote work becomes more and more common since 2020, and the usage of 365 and the vast amount of data stored on it skyrocket.  Not only items like email, and SharePoint but also One Drive and Teams.

As the data stored in 365 is becoming increasingly important and abundant, it’s more important now to have a proper backup solution in place.

While your existing backups cover everything in your network and sync it to the cloud, they more than likely do not provide backup for your 365-cloud environment.  Thus, there is a service gap that needs to be filled.  With so many people working remotely, its a necessity to have a comprehensive backup of your Microsoft Office 365.   Microsoft only guarantees the availability of services.  They do not provide wide-ranging backup of your Exchange Online, Sharepoint, OneDrive, and Teams.

Our Cloud To Cloud Cackup Service Offers:

•          Back up of all Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive data.

•          Covers all 365 data including distribution groups, shared mailboxes, settings, etc.

•          Encrypted

•          Choose full or granular restore depending on specific needs

•          Can restore to the original location, another mailbox, or PST

•          Meets compliance requirements

•          No limits on data size

•          No limits on retention

Some Common Misconceptions:

My current cloud backup takes care of 365!

•  In most cases, this is not true.  Most cloud backup solutions on the market only backup your local/server data, not data stored in 365.

I have an archive service with my email, thats a backup right?

•  No, in most cases archiving just backs up raw emails, it does not bring over folder structure.  So think of your mailbox and all the subfolders etc.  If you lost your email box and it was to be restored from an archiving service, all of those raw emails are just dumped into your inbox for the last 10 years.  So picture 10 years of raw emails just dumped in, no organization, no folder structure, would you be happy with that restore?  Also, keep in mind archiving doesnt even touch your contacts or calendar.

My users dont use one drive so I dont care about having it backed up.

•  Unfortunately, the pandemic led to many users doing whatever they needed to in order to work remotely.  Thus many users started using OneDrive without management ever knowing.  Are you 100% certain your users are not storing very important company information inside of their OneDrive?  Backups are the most important part of your technology and not something you want to go without.  Reach out to your Fuse representative for pricing.

Ive never needed this before! Why would I purchase now?

•  This is one we have heard many times before with various other solutions.  People would say that about firewalls and anti-virus until the threat was knocking on their door.  What we are getting at is we never know what threats tomorrow holds, and the rapid pace at which these Cyber Criminals evolve when a new threat comes on out of nowhere and spreads like wildfire.  You use your email every day, you refer to it constantly, from your desktop to your mobile device you are living it and breathing it.

With that said we never needed anything to protect us from ransomware, but look where we are now.  So hypothetically if a new threat arises this summer that takes out 365 email boxes can you confidently say you could recover from that threat.

With email being of the utmost importance Fuse feels you can never be too safe, you should protect, plan for its failure, and how you would rebound from it.  If you haven’t considered cloud to cloud backup for your 365, Fuse strongly recommends it!
