New TechnologyProjectors are so 1990s – Go Wireless! | Fuse Technology Group | Detroit & Michigan

August 14, 20130

You and your staff sit down, to finally have the weekly staff meeting. You plug your laptop into your projector and wait for it to warm up. Your lovely projector then reads the ever frustrating “NO SIGNAL” on your wall.  You jiggle the cord to your laptop, you go through your settings and then jiggle the cable again and finally your laptop is displayed on the wall.  The picture is a bit fuzzy, so you adjust the projector lens to clarify the picture, yet it’s still not as clear as it should be; however, you’ve wasted enough time and decide to get on with the meeting and actually do what you came there do, meet with your staff.

What if there were a better way, a more seamless way?  Well, in today’s world, we are getting much closer.   In the Fuse labs we are always looking at ways to improve efficiency for our clients, even when it comes to the small details, such as having a meeting.  If we can bring technology into your work place that can save you time, even five minutes, it’s worth it.  Take that 5 minutes and multiply it by the number of meetings you have, how much is your time and your staffs’ time worth?  How much does it cost your organization?  Combine that cost with your frustration level and well, let’s just say there must be a better way!

Fuse recommends using a flat screen TV such as an LCD TV mounted to your Conference room wall. Fuse then assesses your existing environment and installs the appropriate device that will allow you to beam or mirror your entire computer screen to your new conference room TV.  It’s that simple. No jiggling, no tweaking the picture, just pure wireless goodness.

Some of the hardware/software Fuse recommends for this project is listed below.  It’s important to note that your particular situation should be assessed for what you would like to accomplish before your hardware/software is chosen for the job, but rest assure, the cost of this project will be much more cost effective than the price of a new projector.
